World Oceans Day  This year’s theme focuses on our ocean’s great diversity of life and how we can all help in its conservation. Since everyone has a favorite ocean animal, (for instance, Snook!), it's suggested by the World Ocean Day global organizers that we join with others in connecting species' protection with conservation efforts, such as a favorite launch cleanup.   Consider the effect on your favorite animals as you undertake to improve or restore a coastal habitat or shoreline.  There will be many, many World Ocean Day celebrations around the globe, in the early days of June. We encourage you to participate in one close to home.  Here are several in Melbourne-Merritt Island,  where you will find Snook Foundation volunteers working along with some of our favorite partners at West Marine.
