Jim Bandy is pleased to announce the completion of SGF Chairman, Jim Bandythe Gause-Built Flats Skiff, a special sweepstakes boat that all who become a member of Snook & Gamefish Foundation in the coming year will be eligible to win.
The brand new Gause Built 17 with a Yamaha outboard and trailer package, is stocked with top of the line accessories.
SGF Exec Director Rick Roberts states, "We have long admired the Gause attention to angler-pleasing details such as a comfortable, dry ride, light weight, shallow draft, and elegant rod storage. The Gause family commitment to building perfect fishing boats combined with their passion for fishery conservation, make them an excellent partner for SGF."
SGF spokesman Brett Fitzgerald added, “The great thing about the Gause family's donation for the sweepstakes is it’s helping to raise awareness of SGF and the Angler Action program. The company
is not only donating the boat but will feature an 'Angler Action minute' during each of its 2012 video productions documenting the building and outfitting of the boat."
The Gause Built skiff, complete with a Yamaha outboard and trailer, valued at more than $50,000 will be SGF’s ultimate trophy in its membership sweepstakes ending in February 2013. For Printable Trip Records, Resources and More Click the Logo
SGF members are asked to model the sportsman-scientist suggested by founder Bill Mote who believed that "the future of fishing is in the hands of informed anglers who will take steps to enhance, not just protect gamefish species." Spending part of their time on the water participating in research and teaching others, is part of that package. A craft like the Gause-Built is a great way to put anglers where they need to be to make that happen!
