Snook
Resource Protection Service (RPS) Officers Bill Holcomb and Erica Zimmerman conducted
a fisheries inspection on an individual walking under the Gandy Bridge toward his vehicle
carrying a bag of fish and a rod and reel. During the inspection, the officers determined the
subject was in possession of an undersized snook. A citation was issued for possession of undersized snook and possession of snook during closed season
Trout
RPS Officer Bill Holcomb observed a vessel returning to Gandy Beach where a truck
and trailer were parked. Officer Holcomb conducted a fisheries inspection. Although the
subjects said they did not have any fish onboard, the inspection revealed three undersized
red drum and an undersized spotted sea trout. One individual was charged with possession
of undersized red drum, possession of red drum over the bag limit, and possession of
undersized spotted sea trout.

Officers Bill Holcomb and Josh Allison were on water patrol near the Courtney Campbell
Boat Ramp when they conducted a fisheries inspection on a vessel that was returning
from fishing. The inspection revealed two oversized red drum, one of which had been de-headed, and several trout fillets. The subjects were cited for possession of oversized red drum, failure to land red drum in whole condition, and failure to land spotted sea trout in whole condition.
