Spencer Simon - Trophy Flounder - Anna Maria Island

Caught using a sand perch for bait in about 45 ft. The party also caught a limit of large Amberjacks further out fishing with Capt. Larry McGuire of 'Show Me The Fish Charters' operating out of the Bradenton Beach Marina.

We went 8 for 18 with 1 200 pounder, 1 150 pounder, 2 60 pounders, 4 40 pounders, & six more snook, four were slot.  This fish started tail walking right next to the boat, I hit the button, counted to three & this is what I captured. It was an awesome nite.

While pre fishing for a tournament I noticed a little bit of movement on the top of the water. We were only fishing in 6" of water so I didn't think it was anything but I decided to toss out there anyway and got slammed within seconds.

Has trouble getting fish to bite. Poled flats with Artificials. Found a nice school of 25ish redfish. All top slot or over sized. No action with them. Fish were spooky all day.

This was the biggest Trout I personally have ever seen come out of the Bay. Teaching your kids Catch and Release paid off, My Son chose to RELEASE this BEAST for somebody else to possibly enjoy the pleasure of catching this fish. Maybe with their DAD there to enjoy it with them. "Proud DAD"

Nice 37", slammed my Bomber LongA, on an outgoin tide under the mangroves near Rose Bay. It was a vicious thumpin, and the fish was Released and I hope someone else can enjoy the FIGHT!!

This snook cushed a bait on the surface and my dad battled for 10 minutes before he landed her. She was 36.75 inches in length and a shade over 15lbs. 7' IM6 Loomis and 12lb mono.
